We’re in for some heartfelt laughs.
Hannah Gadsby, the Emmy-award-winning Australian comedienne who made waves with her Netflix show Nanette in 2018 and follow-up show Douglas last year, will be touring her new live show around the country later this year.
Titled Body of Work, the new show will commence touring in Canberra before hitting up Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart as well as a bunch of other smaller cities in-between. (Featured image: TED Conference via Flickr.com)
Here’s a bit of Hooray….I have a new show…it’s called BODY OF WORK…and I’ll be visiting lots of places across OZ and NZ. I’m not traditionally an excitable person but…I’m back on a real live stage. It’s nice. Tickets on sale this week so…get amongst it…if you want! pic.twitter.com/PHO4kUl1WT

Gadsby has been a distinguished figure on the Australian comedy scene way before earning much-deserved international acclaim. The Tasmania-born comedienne played to sold-out shows across the world with her multi-award-winning show Nanette which was simultaneously funny, heart-wrenching and contemplative. Douglas, her follow-up show named after her dog, also opened to much acclaim. Her first book, Ten Steps To Nanette, will also be released later this year.
Pre-sale tickets will be available from Wednesday, May 12 and general public tickets go on sale on Friday, May 14. You can book your tickets here.
