Motto Motto does takes Japanese fine dining and makes it casual.
We’re big fans of the Motto Motto. And by the looks of it, so are plenty of others around town. While the Japanese kitchen is known primarily for its mouthwatering bowls of rice, ramen and curry, that’s not all they do. Last year, they created a Moreton Bay bug roll that we still think about but now they’ve gone and outdone themselves with not one new addition to the menu, but four.
First up is the Wagyu Cheese, a cheeseburger that scoffs at mincemeat because its patty scores a 6+ on the marble score for Wagyu which has been flown over from South Australia’s Limestone Coast. It’s topped with cheese, obviously, lettuce, tomato, sake pickles and Japanese mayo for a delectable, drool-worthy experience.
If beef is not to your liking, then there is also a panko-crumbed pork fillet burger with tonkatsu sauce to tease your tastebuds. Or, grab hold of the hot and spicy Japanese fried chicken burger for a fiery bite. And if you’re keen on seafood, then take a look at the burger with the lobster and prawn croquette patty.
The Japanese-inspired burgers have been released in anticipation of International Cheeseburger Day on Saturday 18 September where there will be special offers like the 2-for-1 Wagyu Cheeses available all day at all their stores. But, if you get there early enough, say one of the first 100 people, you’ll get one for free!
