Easter is just around the corner, and so are the quirky creations that come with it. So far for this year, we’ve seen things like Jalapeño and Cheese flavoured hot cross buns that Coles has dropped, as well as outrageous Caramilk hot cross buns from Woolies. But we’re not here to talk about supermarket giants. We’re here to reveal the newest drop from The Grove Distillery in WA’s Margaret River region. Introducing you to Hot Cross Rum, inspired by the iconic Easter staple.
Both sweet and spicy, this hot cross bun-inspired rum is infused with caramelised raisins, vanilla, and cinnamon: a bit like the bun, delivering a warm spice with every taste, and a fruity-cinnamon finish. It’s set to be a curious taste amongst friends and family this Easter.
Hot Cross Rum has been distilled in a 100L ex-bourbon barrel by the distillery team, with only 200 bottles in the first batch. So you might want to get in quick and pre-order one for your Easter shenanigans before they’re all gone.
Each 500mL bottle is part of their Collector’s Series and is essentially a piece of history that comes with a handwritten calligraphers label stating the bottle number.
You can pre-order your bottle of the hot cross bun-inspired rum here.
