‘FRIENDS – The Musical Parody’ is coming to Australia and we’re so excited we might vomit.
Friends ran for a decade and The Last One, which aired way back in 2004, was viewed by 52.5 million people. Since then, we’ve been watching and rewatching Friends—all ten seasons and our favourite episodes—whenever the mood strikes, which is often. One could almost say it was the entirety of 2020. Last year (or was it the year before?) we got the great news that the Friends musical parody cracking up audiences in New York City, as well as across the rest of the United States, was coming to Australia. But then 2020 waltzed into the picture and Covid delayed the stage show.
But now that we’ve made it into 2021, dates for our favourite friends have been set!
Our favourite 20-somethings will be welcoming us into their lives for a hilarious night recreating some of our favourite moments and episodes from the hit-TV series. While we don’t know exactly what moments they’ll be recreating with song and dance, we imagine that Smelly Cat has to be one of them.
Regardless of which moments have been chosen by writers Bob and Tobly McSmith, the same guys behind The Office! The Musical Parody, we’re sure that Friends, The Musical Parody will make our day, our month, and our year.
Friends, The Musical Parody hits The Star stage for three nights next month, from 11 February to 13 February. Tickets ($80) are on sale now and can be found here.
