For the first time ever, Disney Cruise Line is sailing to Australia and New Zealand. With cruises from Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, and itineraries spanning from two to six nights, there’s no telling just how far you’ll go. While you sail, you’ll enjoy the magic of Disney, with Broadway-style entertainment, Disney characters, immersive and imaginative dining, Marvel and Star Wars interactions, and much, much more.
“We are so excited to bring the magic of a Disney cruise vacation close to home for guests in Australia and New Zealand,” said Josh D’Amaro, Chairman, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. “On these limited-time sailings, the ship is the destination, and our amazing Disney Cruise Line crew can’t wait to welcome guests on board as they are immersed in their favourite stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars.”
The Disney Magic At Sea sailings will start for a limited-time from October 2023 through February 2024.
Disney Magic At Sea
The Disney Magic at Sea sailings will bring all the fun and excitement of Disney into one fantastic holiday experience. On board the Disney Wonder ship, you’ll discover heaps of restaurants, pools and recreation spaces across 11 decks.
Create memories with your loved ones as you meet Captain Mickey Mouse, Captain Minnie Mouse, Goofy and Pluto. After that, feel the Force with some special Star Wars sightings including characters like Chewbacca and Rey. Then, meet some of Marvel’s mightiest heroes, including Spider-Man, Captain Marvel and Thor.
If Meet-and-Greets aren’t your style, there’s plenty of dining experiences that will amaze your senses. Head to Tiana’s Place, meet Princess Tiana and enjoy a taste of New Orleans cooking. Then, feel blown away by Animator’s Palate, an interactive dining experience that celebrates Disney animation.
There will be heaps of play spaces to keep children happy and occupied, including an Oceaneer Club, where they’ll embark on a Frozen adventure, a multi-level replica of Andy’s Room from Toy Story, and a Marvel Super Hero Academy for them to find their inner hero.
But, if you think a Disney cruise is only for children, think again. Grown ups will have plenty of their own exclusive spaces to relax and unwind. Swim in the adults-only Quiet Cove pool, feel rejuvenated at the Senses Spa & Salon, and enjoy a sophisticated dining experience at Palo.
The whole family can come together and enjoy some Broadway-style musicals, including Frozen, A Musical Spectacular. Then, have fun with some parties on-deck, including fireworks at sea and a special pirate-themed night.
The inaugural sailing will depart from Sydney on October 28, 2023, with cruises from Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland to follow. Bookings will open to the general public from Thursday September 29, 2022 at 8am AEST/11am NZDT.
