Among the 44 finalists, there is a penguin puking and a monkey doing something to another monkey but we’re not sure what.
There’s also Crush flipping the bird because, we guess, he’s tired of being chased down by the paparazzi. Or, we’re destroying his home. We don’t know, for sure.
But what we do know is that the 2020 Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards has thrown up some hilarious finalists. And the best part is that these candid photos showing us animals from around the world doing their thing, look a whole lot like us doing our thing. Is there a photo of you falling backward off of a park bench? Well, there’s a photo of a raccoon caught in a similarly compromising position.
The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards is an international competition that has been promoting wildlife conservation through ”light-hearted, upbeat, possibly unpretentious” funny photos of animals for the past five years. Set up by two British friends with the aim of getting more people at the pub talking about wildlife, the competition includes the Affinity People’s Choice Award where one lucky winner will receive a brand new iPad, courtesy of Affinity Photo, the no-subscription professional photo editing software for PC, Mac and iPad.
