1. Single All The Way
2. How The Grinch Stole Christmas
As a millennial, this movie brings a bundle of nostalgia to me, and I don’t think that will ever change. A classic in its own right, The Grinch That Stole Christmas starring Jim Carrey brings the fictional of town Whoville and our favourite green grump to life in this magical, family-friendly flick.
3. Elves
When a family goes on Christmas vacation to a secluded island, they get more than what they bargained for when they discover the island’s ancient secret that stalks the woods. I mean, a Danish horror series about mythical forest elves is enough to intrigue. There are six episodes and they only go for twenty minutes each, so you can smash this series out in a single night. Trigger warning: Elves can be gory in parts.
4. Last Christmas
Starring Emilia Clark and Emma Thompson, this British romantic comedy centres on a cynical elf that meets an angel, which is duh, a Christmas miracle. Anyway, if you want something super light but also an interesting premise, Last Christmas is where it’s at.
5. El Camino Christmas
If you want to laugh until it hurts, this 2017 film will do just finely. Starring Jessica Alba and Tim Allen, this flick follows a drifter, a drunk, a deputy, a reporter, and a single mum as they experience an unexpectedly wild Christmas.
