It might be your “Wildest Dream” to see Taylor Swift live (again), and we know “All Too Well” that dreams do come true, but while you wait for the news of her return to Australia you can pass the time with Ensemble Cherubim’s Candlelight tribute to the sensational singer-songwriter this April.
It’s taking place at one of the Gold Coast’s most unique venues, Miami Marketta. While there will be no market with street food fare on the night of the dimly-lit concert, the sounds of T-Swizzle will be reimagined by the chamber ensemble and will resound throughout the hall for what’s sure to be a memorable night of “Enchantment”.
With eight number-one songs and 30 top-ten hits in the US charts, Taylor Swift has become one of history’s best-selling artists of all time. However, this candlelit tribute concert sees her hits, including “Shake It Off” and “the 1”, given an instrumental string rendition. In other words, it’s unlikely you’ve ever heard them like this before.
If you’re a Swifty, “You Belong…” at this glowing tribute to your favourite star to continue the “Love Story” that blossomed the first time you heard her sing. Surrounded by hundreds of candles, you’ll also get to hear songs like “Invisible String”, “I Knew You Were Trouble” and “Cardigan”.
Candlelight on the Gold Coast has previously wowed audiences with stirring renditions of classical music greats like Beethoven and Mozart as well as ballet performances of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake. The series has turned its attention to jazz greats, soul queens and pop stars for more incredible performances, which A Tribute To Taylor Swift is the latest example.
Do not miss out on hearing the American singer-songwriter’s phenomenal music given the Candlelight treatment by the super-talented Ensemble Cherubim at the Gold Coast’s Miami Marketta on Thursday 14 April. There are two performances on the night.
