Camping not only gives us a chance to sleep somewhere visually stunning in the wild, but it can also do wonders for our physical and mental health. It shows us the importance of simplicity, teaches us survival skills, and is meditative in nature (literally). One of the things we love most about living in the Gold Coast is how close the city is to South East Queensland’s vast forests and hinterland hideaways. Here are 11 camping spots worth setting up at in and near the Gold Coast.

Be sure to check out the designated swimming area at AG Muller Park.
