Animal therapy is a thing and we’re all about it because one, we love animals and two, therapy is important—taking care of your emotional and mental well-being is something we should all be doing. In the past, we’ve written about picnics with therapy alpacas and now we’re writing about baby goat yoga because it’s super cute and super adorable and super everything we want in our lives. It’s also happening all year in Brisbane and the Gold Coast thanks to Karmably.
Karmably’s baby goat yoga classes see anywhere between 12 – 17 baby goats and lambs (yes, lambs too and sometimes piglets depending on who is around) wander, jump and play around you as you sit, stretch and meditate. It might be a little (read heaps) distracting but we’re no expert meditators and, honestly, focusing on a cute baby farm animal is ten times better than the thoughts screaming through our heads the majority of the time.
Teaming up with My Little Farm Friends and Brisbane Pony Parties, two wonderful organisations that take in orphaned baby farm animals and seek new, suitable homes for them, Karmably’s baby goat yoga classes include yoga mats, cushions and organic cleaner because if you can’t hide your excitement, don’t expect these adorable baby animals to hold their excitement. Even still, the Karmably Cleaning Crew will be on hand to mop up any mess before you get the chance to slip on it.
On the Gold Coast, yoga goat classes take place on January 22, March 25, May 27, July 22, September 16 and November 18. They take place at Country Paradise Parklands in Nerang with session times at 8.30am, 10am and 11.30am. Double and triple passes are available at both locations so you can share the joy and love of cute and cuddly baby farm animals with your friends—it’s also cheaper to buy two or three tickets than to just get the one.
In Brisbane, Karmably’s yoga goat classes take place on select Saturdays every couple of months. The first is on January 14, followed by sessions on March 11, May 13, July 15, September 9 and November 11. They take place at The Station Brisbane in Fortitude Valley with session times at 8.30am, 10am and 11.30am.
